Day 01 : Mumbai/Pune - Shirdi (260 kms)
On Arrival at Airpot/Railway Station proceed to Shirdi. On arrival at Shirdi check in to hotel & after the fresh up we will take you to Shirdi Saibaba Temple, which attracts millions of devotees from across the world. The beautiful shrine that was built over the Samadhi of Shri Sai Baba. Shiri use to be very small village during Sai Baba with just 80 mud walls but today the city has having some of the best shops & building. Thursday is the day Saibaba is specially worshipped. On this day devotees from all over India visit Shirdi for Darshan of Saibaba. The Temple opens for devotees at 5.15 a.m. (0515 hrs) with Kakad Aarti and remains open till the end of Shejarti. There are also a few religious places of tourist interest in and around Shirdi. The trust ensures that a strict code of conduct is maintained in the temple premises. Evening spent around temple for local market & Night Halt at Shirdi.
Day 02 : Shirdi - Sunny Singnapur Temple (Excursion 90 kms one way)
After an early breakfast take excursion tour of Sunny Singnapur temple unlike other temples here you wont find long queues and no waiting period no priest if needed priests are there on Saturdays and Mondays to offer puja and abhishek. To worship the Lord Shaneshwara in Shinganapur, a devotee has to take a head bath and proceed in wet clothes to the platform where the Swayambhu idol of Shani Maharaj exists. The devotee then circumambulates, offers prayers and performs Abhishek with water from the holy well in the vicinity and sesame oil. Sacrificial offerings are not permitted here. Any male devotee can go up to the platform wearing a wet cloth but women are enjoined to offer worship without mounting the platform There is another well from which water is fetched only for Shani Maharaj's rituals. Women are forbidden to use this well. Devotees are expected to follow some rules also known as Sanket. Adequate facilities are available for Shuchirbhuta ritual (bathing and cleansing of the devotees). The devotee has to be bare headed (without any cap or cloth on the head)while receiving Darshan of the deity. Devotees pour water on the idol with wet clothes and perform Abhishek. Brahmins are available for Abhishek on Saturday and Monday.
To perform the abhishek a devotee offers Oil, preferably sesame is offered in multiples of quarter, Coconut, dried dates, dried cocount, betel nut, rice, turmeric-kumkum, gulal, neel, sugar, colotropis flowers preferably blue, pedha-s, black cloth, curds and milk etc. used. A devotee who wishes to avert the misery offers kavadi, bibba, udid, nail, or pin, or rice. If it is a Abhishek of the Navas (after fulfillment of desires), then money in the form of silver coins, (a trident- trishul), shriphal, or iron articles like ghamela or animals like horse, cow, buffalo are offered.Return to the hotel in Shirdi for overnight stay.
Day 03 : Shirdi - Nashik - Trimbakeshwar - Mumbai/Pune
After an early Breakfast proceed for Nashik ( 90 kms ), on arrival Check in to hotel. Situated 200 kms from Pune or Mumbai id one of the main City of Northern Maharastra because of its beautiful surroundings and cool and pleasant climate having its own historical & cultural importance. The river Godavari flows through the city. Temples and ghats on the banks of Godavari have made Nashik one of the holiest places for Hindus all over the World. We can cover sight seeing like Sitagufa, Panchwati, Muktidham temple etc & than after Trimbakeshear temple.
Trimbakeshwar - one of the holy places of not only Maharashtra but the whole India is near Nashik just 14 kms. Trimbakeshwar is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas in India. The following verse shall explain the importance of this sacred place and the next one gives names of the Twelve Jyotirlingas in India.
This says that anybody who visits Trimbakeshwar attains salvation. There is no sacred place like Trimbakeshwar, no river like Godavari, no mountain like Brahmagiri etc. The reasons for its being so sacred are - Godavari river originates in this place, its a place of Tri-Sandhya Gayatri, the birth place of Lord Ganesha, a place of the first Nath of Nath Sampradaya consisting of Gorakhnath and others, a place where Nivrittinath was made to imbibe the holy knowledge by his Guru Gahininath, a place where Nivrittinath made his brothers and sister attain the self by his preaching. This is the holiest place to perform Shraddha ceremony. Nirnaya Sindhu - a religious book of Hindus, mentions that this place, where Sahyadri mountain and Godavari river exist is very purifying on the whole earth and is therefore very important for performing Shraddha ceremony. Back to Mumbai to catch the flight or train
