Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology -
Instituted 14 years ago as an Industrial Training Institute by Dr. A.
Samanta, in a rented premise with only 12 students and two faculty, it
has grown into a Deemed-University with undergraduate and postgraduate
programmes in Technology, MCA and MBA. KIIT is an institute with truly
national character with over 80 percent of its strength of student's
population belonging to States other than Orissa and it has enrolled
students from abroad also into its various academic programmes.
An enabling infrastructure is a prerequisite for quality education, and
this is why Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) has laid
due emphasis on infrastructure and facilities relevant for education
delivery and student recreation. Today the facilities offered in KIIT
are among the best in its category. In some areas KIIT has pioneered in
creating infrastructure and adopted technology at par with the best in
globe. It is obvious that a great deal of management farsightedness and
relentless pursuit of excellence have gone into making KIIT a leader in
professional education.
